Odysseas Christou (Ph.D. in Government, The University of Texas at Austin) is Assistant Professor in Government, International Law, and International Relations with the Department of Law and an Associated Faculty Member with the Department of European Studies and International Relations at the University of Nicosia. His teaching and research areas include comparative politics, international relations, diplomacy, political violence and energy security. He has participated in numerous research projects on topics such as the organisation of political violence, European policies on migration, asylum-seeking and integration and European welfare systems. His recent publications include journal and edited volume publications on energy security in the Eastern Mediterranean, European welfare reform and the effects of the economic crises on European political systems at the national level.
His role in the project will be as a member of the teaching staff as well as the Management Committee.
